Welcome to season one, episode one of the "Innovate This" podcast, in which we aim to explore the world of DocuWare, DMS and ERP integration and business in general. We will be having a range of guests and covering a range of topics but in our inaugural episode, we welcome Antony Dickson (Managing Director) and Martin Chapman (Director of Business Development) to discuss their various roles and foci.
We are both excited and pleased to announce that after an incredibly challenging but successful 2020, we have been awarded DocuWare Platinum Partner status for 2021.
In line with government social distancing recommendations, Anota has dispersed our team to work remotely for the immediate future.
At Anota, we take the health and wellbeing of our team and client partners very seriously thus we are closely monitoring the Government medical advice concerning the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
Email boxes are more than a communication vehicle, they are also a repository of critical business information. But emails tend to be informal and that tricks us into thinking that they don’t need to be archived and searchable, though some emails need to be retained for compliance. How many times have you scrolled through your inbox or sent mail box looking unsuccessfully for important email correspondence or attachments that you forgot to save? Some of us also make the mistake of using an email inbox as a to-do list. With email management software, you can set up rules so that emails are automatically put in a task list or archived along with related documents.
When your employees lack access to business documents they need, it creates a bottleneck that steals your productivity and process efficiency. Here’s an example: Let’s say an accounts receivable clerk calls one of your customers to ask why they haven’t paid an invoice that’s now overdue. The customer replies, “Well, the product you sent isn’t what the salesperson promised in the proposal.”To resolve the issue and collect on the invoice, the clerk first needs to find out what the salesperson promised. Unfortunately, the salesperson saved the proposal on his local hard drive, and all the clerk sees is that an invoice is open. So, the whole process stalls until these questions are answered.
Providing employees with the right tools is key to driving efficiency and productivity.A document management system is often a good solution for CFOs and accounting leaders who need their teams to accomplish more without adding to the payroll.Twenty or 30 years ago, accounting documents largely consisted of papers stored in a file cabinet. Today, documents come in all sorts of formats, from paper, PDFs and Word docs to emails and image files. Electronic records are increasingly important as accounting documents, such as electronic invoices, are generated by an ERP system.
Industry 4.0 is no longer a new concept, it is being adopted by many different manufacturing sectors. This is including the rail industry and is affecting every aspect, including the supply chain. It will be a new dawn for the whole vertical chain, and it will have a colossal impact on the supply chain especially. The Industry 4.0 ecosystem will bring about an eclectic range of digital technologies.
Many of the leading manufacturing companies have already boosted their own significance in the industrial automation of their business processes. Aerospace is one of the leading manufacturing sectors and one that is currently moving into the next tier of industrial automation. This next tier is known as Industry 4.0. It is an important move in the industrial revolution as it marks the 4th major step, which is based on the automation of production with cyber-physical systems. Many more companies are yet to take this step that every one of their competitors will inevitably take.
